In kinematics the we had a formula for average velocity.

For uniform circular motion the average velocity does not change. Therefore, there is only one velocity, v. No initial velocity. No final velocity. No average velocity. There are all equal to each other so there is just one velocity, v_{T}
. Therefore the avearge velocity formula becomes:

The "T" subscript is used to denote that the velocity is the tangential velocity. This is because the velocity vector is tangent to the circle. The S.I. units are for velocity are still m/s.

For cuircular motion the delta-t is defined as T -the period of motion. What formula describes how much distance a body, (for example a race car,) travels in one period of time?
