High Powered Rocket Launch Extra Credit

Go to the hpr launch in culpeper. take a picture with you and a big rocket. Bring the picture in to the teacher by April 20^th. OR you may make a SHORT video journal of your experience. Make sure to get a video clip showing you and the rockets. Keep the total length of your video to under 4 minutes.

This year contest launch is Saturday, March 31, 2012. Here is information about the contest. If the weather is not to windy, you will see me there. (If you miss this date, there is a second smaller launch date in April, check their website.)

...An additional 6 points will be added the Homework/Question of the Day Category. (That could make up for 3 missed homework assignments.) Extra credit will count on the 4th quarter's grade.

While your there ask questions about how the person got started in rocketry or high powered rocketry. Ask them how they know when the parachute is going to deploy during flight. Ask them about their rocket motors. Be polite and pay attention to their answers.
